Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils Meet & Greet - Brute
Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils are dedicated to bringing new artists your way at our live events. This weekend on Night #1 of Robo-Psycho Entertainment & Open Pupils Present: Heroes VS. Villains Weekend [18+] @ Mickey’s Pub & Grille we’re VERY proud to present BRUTE!!

Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils: Tell us a bit about yourself. How did you get started?
Brute: My name is Leo, AKA Brute. I am a DJ and soon to be producer from LA but originally from the Antelope Valley. I started spinning almost 3 years ago. My first set-up was a DVD player, a cd player, and a vested mixer, haha.  once I started I couldn’t stop and now I am here! Oh ya! Long walks on the beach and chili dogs are awesome.
R-PE & OP: Sounds like a difficult first set-up, hahaha. Who would you say your major influences are EDM-wise?
Brute: Oh man, thats a big list. The Others, Rusko, The Bloody Beetroots, DJ Bam Bam, Joker, The Brookes Brothers, Danny Byrd, Bukez Finezt, and 12th Planet to name a few. Many influences in many genres, haha, can’t help it with EDM.
R-PE. & OP: Too true, what about non-EDM influences?
Brute: People Under the Stairs FOR SURE.They are at the top. Alchemist, The Pharcyde, Slum Village, Childish Gambino, The Bled, Born of Osiris, Every Time I Die, and Between the Buried and Me. So many influences. Can’t forget MC Pee Pants, haha.
R-PE. & OP: Hahahaha, I know a few of our artists reppin’ Sir Pee Pants. Have you ever been to or heard of Ridgecrest, CA?
Brute: Definitely heard of but never been. I may have passed through, though. I like to think the desert rat cities know of each other because we have felt the pains of desert life (or lack there of) haha.
R-PE. & OP: We definitely have a fun audience & are looking forward to hearing you throw down some BASS! What should our fan’s expect from your performance?
Brute: I hear Ridgecrest likes to get down so I am going to go crazy. (Everything from) Heavy hitting dubs to some floor knocking house and electro. I mostly focus on Dubstep but this show I am changing it up for the people. My goal is to have everyone, even the people working the bar, dancing their ass off. I will succeed!
R-PE. & OP: Rad! Thanks for the interview. Any last words for our fans?
Brute: I’m bringing the noise. You guys bring the party! Can’t wait to see ya Ridgecrest and thank you all for supporting your local EDM scene! Much love and thanks to Robo-Psycho Ent. as well for putting these shows on and the interview love. GET READY FOR THE BASS!

Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils Meet & Greet - Konnexxion
Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils are dedicated to bringing new artists your way at our live events. This weekend on Night #1 of Hot Summer Nights! @ Mickey’s Pub & Grille we’re VERY proud to present KONNEXXION!
Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils: SO, Tell us a bit about yourself.
Konnexxion: Well… Name’s Jason Kessler. From Palmdale, CA. Been in the EDM/rave scene since about 2006. Started DJing around the end of 2009, after messing around with some DJing software. Since then, I’ve spun quite a few shows in the AV, and a few in LA/LA county area. I also have a weekly radio show on www.outragefm.com every thursday night from 9:30-11PM (PST). Besides all that ish, I just recently started producing, and should be finished with my first actual track here pretty shortly. I’m pretty psyched about that! It’s been a long time coming.
R-PE. & OP: Nice! If it’s representative of what you spin, we’re in for a heavy treat. Who are your major influences EDM-wise?
Konnexxion: I’d have to say my biggest influences are actually some of the older DnB guys. Legends such as Andy C, Pendulum, DJ Fresh, and a lot of the older Breakbeat Kaos guys. Can’t forget Dieselboy! His album The 6ixth Session was amazing, and a huge influence. As far as dubstep though, my biggest influences originally were Rusko & Caspa, 16bit, 12th Planet, Skream, Mala & Coki, etc.
R-PE & OP: You’ve definitely got some legends on your list, that’s for sure. Have you ever been to or heard of Ridgecrest? (lol)
Konnexxion: Haha, I’ve only drove through Ridgecrest once or twice, never stopped. But I can definitely say that I’m excited to finally make my way up there for Hot Summer Nights!
R-PE & OP: We definitely have a fun audience & are looking forward to hearing you throw down some BASS! What should our fan’s expect from your performance?
Konnexxion: Iunno, I was thinking of throwing on some David Bowie - Lets Dance… maybe Paula Abdul? No no, but in all seriousnessness… I have tons of brand new music released from the likes of Flinch, Requake & Badklaat, Jakes, J. Rabbit, Bukez Finest, Squalid Squad, ENiGMA Dubz, Zeds Dead and sooo many more. Oh, and I also got a few bangin ass trap and hip-hop tracks I’ll probably be dropping.
R-PE & OP: Rad! Thanks for the interview. Any last words for our fans?
Konnexxion: Thanks for having me! And as far as last words… I promise to not drop any Skrillex =) (Click on the photo to redirect to Konnexxion’s Soundcloud)

Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils Meet & Greet - La Fatale
Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils are dedicated to bringing new artists your way at our live events. This weekend on Night #2 of Hot Summer Nights! @ Mickey’s Pub & Grille we’re VERY proud to present FATALE!
Robo-Psycho Ent. & Open Pupils: Tell us a bit about yourself. How did you get started?
FATALE: Well, i guess you could say my story is a lot like everyone else’s.
I grew up where the beach meets the street, West Coast Livin, got my head on right when i was 13. I’ve always been very involved in whatever i did growing up, and alot of my time was spent singing, playing the guitar, the piano, designing, throwing parties, you name it. so I guess one thing led to another & I picked up the art of DJing.
R-PE. & OP: We’ve noticed you doing your thang in recent years, tell us about Juicy & LACX
FATALE: Juicy is my child. it’s my life and my love. It something that will be apart of me til the day I die and beyond. I started the company with an ex of mine, it was mainly our family and party crew. When we separated he gave me the company, and I said well, fuck it, let’s go big or go home. LACX is apart of me too, I always tell my business partner that I love it as my own. Haha. It’s such a great thing to be apart of something that supports and promotes love, success and prosperity on every hard working individual in Los Angeles. And of course meeting people and networking, That’s what we do every day and it feels amazing.
Juicy recently got a few contracts for some major shows in LA for my birthday, by chance it got turned into a fully sponsored USA tour. We’re playing nearly 20 cities and hosting auditions (for Juicy) at each event, so grounds for establishment within each city is evident. It’s going to be mass expansion. I’m only 22, I know I’m ready, but it is life changing, just more on the plate, more stress, more sleepless nights, and less time to focus on making music, I’ll have to learn how to produce on the road.
R-PE & OP: You were recently on tour, how was Texas?
FATALE: I say this every time someone asks me about Texas… Texas has ALL the HOTTIES.
Haha, let’s just say Juicy will do just fine out there, she’s In good hands.
(SHOUTOUTS to my Ambassador, Lauren!)
R-PE & OP: Have you ever heard of or been to Ridgecrest?
FATALE: I have heard of it? But no, I’ve never been there. Looking forward to an adventure!
R-PE & OP: Is it Fatale or La Fatale?
FATALE: It’s FATALE, la FATALE, Lady Vice. I’ll pretty much respond to any of those.
R-PE & OP: We definitely have a fun audience & are looking forward to hearing you throw down some BANGERS! What should our fan’s expect from your performance?
FATALE: The fans can expect a set with tunes they’ve probably never heard of. Lots of dubplates on this one.
R-PE & OP: Sweet! Thanks for the interview. Any last words for our fans?
FATALE: A lot of you know that I changed my name from Lady Vice to FATALE, for reasons I can’t be too public about. Long story short, all of my online publications were taken from me, my fanpage, my soundcloud, twitter. Its taken some time but Im back on the web! Check out the fanpage @ www.facebook.com/badgirlsound & www.soundcloud.com/badgirlsound (clicking the photo will redirect you to Fatale’s SoundCloud)
